Letters of Encouragement

There are many people who are incarcerated because of choices they have made in their lives. This can be a time of loneliness and sadness as they go through a very difficult time. Many feel they have reached Rock Bottom in their lives and are looking for answers.

Letters of Encouragement is to bring hope and encouragement during these difficult times. We are letting them know that we are thinking about them and praying for them. Our doors are open and we will be here when they come home. We want to be straightforward and honest about their situation and the choices they have made but at the same time offer support and encouragement about their future.

We encourage the individuals to use their time wisely. There are many ways they can prepare themselves for the future. Classes to further their education, Bible study courses to draw them closer to God, and many support groups teaching them how to make better decisions in their lives. While they may be incarcerated God gives them opportunity to improve their life choices. It is our prayer that they will take advantage of these opportunities during this time.

In a nutshell Letters of Encouragement is to encourage people that are in a desperate time in their life to make wise choices and to live successful sober lives when they return home.

In 2017 Victory Lighthouse Baptist Church wrote 1651 letters to those incarcerated in prisons, jails, and rehabs. To God be all the glory and praise for the fruit of His ministry.

We hope you will consider being a part of Letters of Encouragement on Wednesday Nights at 7:00 p.m. If you cannot attend, or do not feel led of God to write letters, please consider a gift to offset the cost of this ministry.

Thank You
